Happy St. Patrick's Day! I made this card for my little niece a few weeks ago.

In Progress Painting

I just finished this painting of a Key Lime Tree. I took pictures as I was painting it, so I could show my progress as I went along. I spent about 6-7 hours on this piece.

Made the drawing and filled in the background. Then, for this painting, I painted back into it with white.

Started to fill in the light yellow areas, the lime and a few leaves.

Added more color in the background and filled in more of the leaves.

The finished painting with all details. I filled in more of the background with a light pink for highlights and an iridescent purple.
