Comment Magazine

Comment Magazine has posted my work for this month. It's an interesting publication that can be found at http://www.cardus.ca/comment.

The Donated Art Project

Our goal is to produce a professional-looking book of art, poetry, and any artist expression that will be printed-on-demand through Blurb.com, in November 2009. The book will cost aproximately $25 a piece with shipping.

Why? Several reasons…

First, to compile an eye-catching book of art donated from people all over the US (or globally).

Second, to support my friend Stephanie, who is disabled and unable to work fulltime. The extra income makes it possible for her to visit friends in other cities throughout the year. 100% of the profits from this project will go to her!

Theme: Thanksgiving
After carefully discussing several subjects, we decided that Thanksgiving was a great theme: not just because this book will be available in November, but because it can conjure up many different sub-themes or ideas. This is specially poignant during a year where the focus has been on economic issues, the recession, or politics. All interpretations of this theme are encouraged. Use this as a starting point for your imagination!
