I love literature, and what is better than a FREE lit podcast released every Friday? I have been an avid listener of this podcast for several years. While I paint, I listen to short stories or full length novels by Charles Dickens, P.G. Wodehouse and G.K. Chesterton — to name a few. I'm inspired by it so much in fact, I am a sponsor. Check it out! Great for kids too.

Since the summer of 2009, I have switched almost completely to using Ampersand Artist Boards for my paintings, instead of plain wood or canvas. The reason is pretty simple. Nothing can beat the quality of Ampersand's product (an Austin, TX company). I primarily use the Artist Panel and the ClayBord, because I love the surface when I apply acrylic paint. It makes my job easier, so I can concentrate on making the painting. Plus, when shipping or moving, it is much more difficult to damage the final pieces. They are sturdy and will last!
As an extra side bonus, the people at Ampersand are also incredibly generous! As a suprize to me, they have chosen my paintings to be displayed on their sale signs in art stores across the country.
